Jason's Bar Mitzvah - "Favorite places in Chicago"

While the Floral Department is busy producing weddings, the Art Department is always busy at work creating fabulous themed Mitzvahs for our clients.

This past weekend was a prime example, rental trucks were on order for both of our departments. Here is what the Art Department was busy doing...

What are some of your favorite places in Chicago?

A few on-site shots of the event at Am Shalom in Glencoe, Illinois. Looks like it was a sure bet to be a FUN and MEMORABLE event for Jason!

Lincolnshire Marriott- Shades of PURPLE

A popular color this summer seemed to be purple...not sure if that was one of the forecasted top Pantone colors for 2012, BUT it was at Joseph's.

Lincolnshire Marriott Resort is a great back drop for an outside wedding, they have several spots on the grounds for ceremonies to take place as well as several tented reception areas to dance the night away with your guests.

Want to offer your guests a "stay cool" alternative, provide them color coordinated fans as their programs.

Adding candle light and uplighting really takes your event over the top and welcomes your guests in for a great night of Dinner and Dancing!...and don't forget the Garrett's Popcorn for the snack!

a beautiful "ombre" floral cake was the perfect touch to the dance floor decor. The couple used a color system for their escort cards to guide guests to their seat, and give the servers an idea of what entree to bring them.

Who's keeping SCORE?...

No party is too small for our team- Big events are fun and grand but the smaller intimate ones can be just as fulfilling for us.

Having a get together, a celebration, a best wishes in college... all lumped into one party can be a challenge to coordinate and come up with a theme. Our theme was a golf gathering...while the art department at Josephs Events teamed up with the floral department, we came up with a memorable day for our clients.

One of our staff, Carol Woldhuis Designs, created the Menu Cards that were tucked into forest green napkins including a golf pencil to help keep score...just in case they wanted to hit a round or two of golf!

Show your support!

From our friends at Art & Nature Eco-Salon News...

During the month of October we will be raising money for a family in need that is going through cancer. All profits of "pop of color hair extensions" will go directly to the family. Not only will we be selling the extensions in our shop, but we will also be holding an event at Waukegan’s monthly ArtWauk!

The ArtWauks are held every third Saturday of the month. We want to invite our clients to experience this truly amazing event to see Waukegan’s transformation of the downtown district. There are 3 main
galleries: Dinosaur StudioGalleryThe Dandelion Wine Gallery   (named after Ray Bradbury, Waukegan’s famous Author) and the Urban Edge Gallery. You can read all about these events on their website.

We really want to make this event special and show our support of the fine arts and also raise money for a good cause. We will be located in the front of the Dinosaur Studio so come on by. We are so excited to be apart of this and we hope you will share this special moment with us!

Splashes of Fuschia and Orange...

Weddings can be fun and COLORFUL! This wedding was at Wynstone Country Club, the popular vessels with submerged flowers add that special touch the tables needed for this Sunday afternoon wedding.

The girls bouquets were colorful, while the pin cushion protea added the fun texture. Finished off with touches of ribbon ties for the extra detailing.

Using petals scattered on the tables, certainly draws your eyes to the already beautiful settings and surroundings.

Congrats Tony and Laura!

A Princess with a Fairy Tale Wedding...

This summer we were part of the "fairy-tale" theme at Cuneo Mansion and Gardens. Our client added that extra touch, went the extra mile and truly created a beautiful day to remember.

From the chair covers and buckle bling to the white horse and carriage entry, this wedding was fabulous!

We created several looks for the table centerpieces, up arrangements with hydrangea, orchids and roses while the lows were great orchid plants that the guests could take as a parting gift.

The couple utilized the garden area on this beautiful day. The ceremony was out on the lawn under the floral twig arch. Refreshing cocktails were served to the guests, while waiting for the amazing dinner that the venue would hold for them by Bauers Catering in Libertyville.

The Mansion is truly a beautiful setting for any girls "fairy-tale" wedding. They surely danced the night away-
